Spruce Run Lutheran Church’s LYO youth group is open to all young people in the congregation between the ages of 13 and 18. With its emphasis on fellowship and church service, the group participates in many activities including the Pancake and Egg Breakfast (January), Super Bowl Subs (February), Pre-Lenten Breakfast to support the Women of the ELCA (February), French Toast Breakfast (April), Pasta Dinner (May), Soup and Salad Luncheon (October), Halloween Party (October), and Jingle Bell Junction (November).

The LYO leaders hold monthly meetings with the young people to plan activities and enjoy fellowship. The group also gets together throughout the year for social events to bowl, ski, or other activities.

The LYO does fundraising to help defray the cost of attending the ELCA Youth Gatherings that are held every two years. In addition to the money the group raises, the congregation provides support for the cost of those trips.
